<p>The ULPGC is a modern institution with a long academic expertise, committed to quality, efficiency and modernity. It has 21 centers, 1 ascribed center, 42 undergraduate degrees, 18 official postgraduate programs, 5 on-line qualifications, 45 ULPGC masters and university expert programs and 3 special training programs. Research activities reflect the multidisciplinary nature of our 36 Departments: 12 in engineering and architecture, 11 in science and health sciences, 6 in social and legal sciences and 7 in art and humanities. ULPGC research includes cutting-edge projects in such wide-ranging subjects as oceanography, marine science, aquaculture, computer robotics, nutrition, oncology, ITC, renewable energies, transport economy, business organization, town planning, translation and the history of the Canary Islands, among others.<br />
The ULPGC has a consolidated experience in the internationalization process, having collaborated with international HEIs all over the world to foster innovation and good practices in this field. The University has a specific divisions managing international cooperation initiatives and projects. One of them is the<strong><u> </u></strong><a href="https://internacional.ulpgc.es/en/strategy/" style="color:#0563c1; text-decoration:underline"><strong>Vice-Rectorate of Internationalization and Cooperation</strong></a> (under ERASMUS+ Program, INTERREG POMAC, Atlantic; international volunteering, ESC activities, etc.). The other is the International Relations office, in charge of managing mobility with the collaboration of the internationalisation staff of the faculties.</p>
<p>The research activities of GREENTOUR project are coordinated by the <a href="https://tides.ulpgc.es/" style="color:#0563c1; text-decoration:underline"><strong>University Institute on Tourism and Sustainable Economic Development (TiDES)</strong> </a><strong><u>,</u></strong> which belongs to the ULPGC. TiDES is the main responsible for the research in tourism and hospitality of the ULPGC. According to the Shanghai Ranking 2025, the ULPGC is the 1st university in Spain and Latin America in Tourism and Hospitality, 2nd in the EU and 34th in the world.</p>
